I relate to this beautiful article, but from a different angle.
Today's environment is different. I have staff who are increasingly getting insincere and hence unpredictable.Even after serving over 1 or 2 years in the organisation, a few of them are leaving without notice period/ absconding all of a sudden, etc.
They are not keeping up with the terms of the agreements of bonds, notice period, no handover or minimal handover of works, and some weird stuff (1 guy had the audacity to tell us to book porter of the company laptop and phone at our cost after absconding.)
At the same time, after leaving the company, some are still in touch and want to be in touch (maybe personal gratitude of learning from me, maybe to influence an outcome in the future, maybe genuine - not sure what combination it is).
This creates a grey zone of sincerity instead of the previous black and white.
They are insincere professionally but seem sincere personally (time will tell).
This is new territory and I am open minded to perceive this new reality.
